Genesis Magma Racing (GMR) has unveiled its full-scale GMR-001 Hypercar, marking the brand’s bold entry into global motorsports. Designed for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA SportsCar Championship, the hypercar embodies Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” philosophy, blending aerodynamic precision with sculptural fluidity. Key features include the signature Two-Line lighting, a parabolic side profile, and a hybrid powertrain developed with ORECA Motorsport. The striking livery, dominated by Magma orange and deep red gradients, incorporates Korean Hangeul script for “Magma,” reflecting the brand’s heritage.

The team, led by Cyril Abiteboul, boasts top-tier drivers like André Lotterer and Pipo Derani. Genesis Magma Racing will debut in WEC in 2026 and IMSA in 2027, building on its 2025 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) success, where it won its LMP2 class debut. The GMR-001 Hypercar serves as a testbed for future Magma road car technologies, emphasizing durability and hybrid efficiency.
