This spring, Genesis Motors Canada is taking its passion for performance to the next level with the country-wide debut of the Genesis G70 Track Day Special Concept. Fresh off its Nürburgring inspiration, this one-off, purpose-built G70 lands in Canada as the ultimate blend of luxury refinement and racetrack prowess—and you won’t need a ticket to Germany’s “Green Hell” to see it in action.

From the moment you lay eyes on the Track Day Special Concept, its prowling stance and aggressive aero tell you everything you need to know. Borrowing the same suspension, wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber as the Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife (the brand’s high-speed passenger experience at the Nürburgring), this bespoke G70 also adds vented hood panels, bright tow cables front and rear, and a towering rear wing optimized for downforce. Eye-catching “Nordschleife” graphics on the fenders—and that playful, dialled-up livery—pay tribute to its racetrack roots while keeping the look firmly in Genesis’s signature style.

Underneath the skin, the Track Day Special Concept is all business: 19-inch wheels wrapped in ultra-sticky rubber, beefed-up brakes and a sport-tuned chassis combine to deliver a genuinely uncompromising track experience. It’s a reminder that the production G70—already lauded for its snappy handling, potent twin-turbo powertrains and sumptuous interior—was born from countless Nürburgring test sessions and engineering refinements.

But Genesis isn’t content to let this car languish in a private collection. Beginning May 22 at Genesis Markham, the Track Day Special Concept will tour distributor showrooms across Canada through the rest of 2025, giving enthusiasts from coast to coast a rare chance to see (and perhaps sit in) a G70 that wears its racing pedigree on its sleeve. “Automotive luxury should be synonymous with high-performance capability,” says Eric Marshall, director of Genesis Motors Canada. “We’re excited to show Canadian guests a preview of the next era of Genesis—what’s possible when you fuse elegance and track-ready engineering.”

For those who haven’t yet experienced the Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife, the program pairs paying guests with a professional driver for a blistering lap around the Nürburgring’s 20.832-kilometre layout, complete with its notorious elevation changes, rapid succession of turns and full-throttle straights. It’s here—the crucible of motorsport ingenuity—that Genesis proves its G70 can keep pace with the very best in the luxury sport sedan segment.

Back in showroom form, the production G70 already offers drivers a choice between a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a potent 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Inside, you’ll find a driver-focused cockpit wrapped in premium materials, intuitive tech, and advanced safety aids—all engineered to deliver comfort on the daily commute and confidence when pushed to the limit.

Whether you’re a track-day fanatic or appreciate the marriage of artful design and adrenaline-pumping performance, the G70 Track Day Special Concept is a rare sight that truly embodies Genesis’s commitment to emotional luxury. Keep an eye on your local Genesis distributor’s events calendar this spring, because this bespoke machine won’t be in one place for long, and you won’t want to miss it.
