After two full weeks of winter testing, the transformation is clear: the refreshed Passport TrailSport drives, rides, and feels better built. The V6 remains smooth and predictable. The cabin is spacious and usable for families. TrailSport hardware adds actual capability without turning it into a hardcore off-roader. This is the most confident and well-rounded version of the Passport yet.

Performance and Driving Feel

The naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 returns with 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It remains one of the smoothest and most predictable engines in the segment. The 10-speed automatic is now well-calibrated, avoiding the low-speed hunting of earlier Honda transmissions. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.0 seconds. More importantly, the powerband suits daily driving. The Passport pulls confidently on highways, keeps speed on winter hills without strain, and responds quickly to passing manoeuvres. Where the 2026 model really improves is in overall composure. The chassis feels more planted, especially in winter conditions. In cold temperatures, on winter tires, and with a mix of passengers and cargo, these numbers reflect real-world expectations. Steady highway driving improves consumption, while heavy city use increases it, typical for this powertrain.

Infotainment, Audio, and Ease of Use
Honda’s updated infotainment system is one of the most noticeable improvements for 2026. The screen responds faster, menus are cleaner, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect reliably. The layout avoids clutter, and the physical knobs remain easy to use with gloves. The audio system delivers clear daily sound. It doesn't aim for premium quality, but tuning is clean, vocals are crisp, and coverage is consistent. Camera quality is good, with the TrailSport’s extra views aiding parking and snowy trail entry.
